I am changing to a new laptop and want to download my copy of Office I have the product key and the download went fine, but when I try to install I get the following error message:. It stops the installation and tells me that windows will try to send me a message, but I have not received anything yet.
After months and excruciating hours speaking to limited English speaking technicians in India, with no results, I took my computer into a Microsoft store, where it was necessary to install a whole new hard drive, with the original Vista OS.
Is it possible for me to receive a replacement installation disk and product key? I have all the documentation which confirms the repairs and my account should have a lengthy record of my futile telephone contacts with Microsoft, Mumbai!! Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site.
Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect. To obtain a replacement from MS requires that you have the physical proof of purchase, ie the original receipt. I no longer have the original receipt from Best Buy.
I do have the product keys for Vista and Microsoft, if I can use those to download Office? The 25 character Office Product Key is still good, as long as you wrote it down correctly, and entered it correctly. LibreOffice is a free alternative to MS Office. It has equivalent programs and many but not all of the same features. For people who can't afford MS Office, it is a good alternative. It is also often useful for fixing problems with document corruption in Office. It will sometimes be able to open a file that the Office application can't.
Open and FIX the code error that is preventing it from being opened in Office! It is apparently incorrect and, perhaps, I wrote down the wrong numbers at that time! I cannot, therefore, re-install the program and am requesting some solution from Microsoft which will allow me to to do so, without having to purchase again!
Details required : characters remaining Cancel Submit. We on this forum, and me specifically, are not "Microsoft". Microsoft does not pay much attention here. Since a MS Store fluffed up your computer and copy of Office, the only place you can get satisfaction is from the store manager.
Office Product Keys are always 25 characters, typically written by MS in 5 groups of 5 char. Sounds like you lost one whole group first or last.
